Come to an open house at the YWCA's downtown facility to see the renovations made possible by the generosity of many individuals and organizations.

The Madison West Kiwanis Club was chartered in 1959 and is a member of the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District. As with most Kiwanis clubs, the Madison West Kiwanis Club is a snapshot of the community, with members (men and women) from all walks of life and at every step of the career ladder. We are unified in the belief that children and the community benefit from the efforts of caring and involved volunteers. In a typical year, the club invests more than 1000 volunteer hours and $35,000 in support of the Madison community. Through these efforts, the organization truly leaves a lasting impression on future generations.

About our Club...
A "New Generation" Club, Madison South is the second largest Rotary club in the Greater Madison Area with over 85 members. Averaging 10 to 12 new members a year, a very active majority are in their 30's and 40's. With almost 40 years behind us, we have developed a balanced membership that relies on the senior members to remind us of tradition, lessons learned and the newer members to guide us into the future as the Club grows in size and maturity.

What we do...
At Madison South, meetings are more than a speaker and business. We also have fun! The well known "dollars" fines for publicity plus happy and sad dollars with a raffle makes this one of the top make-up clubs in the 15 club Greater Madison area. The food at the Sheraton is top-rated too

Madison South is known for its unique and very successful fund raising project. Our bratwurst and beer stand across from UW's Camp Randall Stadium packs in the fans before every Wisconsin Badger Home Football Game. For over 30 years this project has contributed to our Foundation almost a quarter of a million dollars. This enables the Foundation to give back over $50,000 a year to South Madison, its citizens and worthy causes.

Rotary Meeting at Inn on the Park with Guest Speakers Sr. Joanne Kollasch & Neal Smith; Holy Wisdom Monastery: 50 Years of Care For the Earth

Madison Nonprofit Day is a daylong series of events, activities, and workshops to celebrate, raise awareness, and engage the public with Madison's vibrant nonprofit community.

The day invites families, neighbors, neighborhood businesses to build community with the nonprofits in their neighborhood and around town. From scavenger hunts, blooming butterflies, nature walks, potlucks, art in the cart— there is a host of activities for you, your friends, co-workers, and family to participate and learn.

For nonprofit staff and volunteer, the day provides a number of free educational opportunities with workshops and panels held at the Goodman Community Center on Madison's eastside. Topics range from social media, technology, fundraising, strategic planning and more. A luncheon is provided with food donated by a number of the great restaurants in the Atwood-Schenk Neighborhood.
