So far we'll be having a new feature first, called Blue Sky [BS for short ;-) ], so bring your half baked ideas! Next up I'll be giving an overview of the 4 spaces we've narrowed things down to and hopefully you all have thoughts/comments/questions about them so we have more criteria to sift through them. Next up Tony will give a demo and discussion on OpenWRT. Dave will give an overview of his cartography project and the progression to get where he is. Lastly, (maybe) Branden will be showing us pretty pictures of chip lithography and how silicon works. Let me know if you have something to present/discuss or a suggestion for something you'd like to learn about: team@sector67.org

Regent Neighborhood Association
To begin an initial discussion about the land use approval process from the point of view of neighbors and neighborhoods so that those of us elected to represent you can hear your thoughts and discuss suggestions on best practices with each other, other stakeholders and the city. We are inviting fellow alders, members of citizen committees tasked with the review of development proposals, and members of neighborhood associations throughout the city to lead a roundtable discussion of what works and what could be improved in our development approval process. The primary focus is to provide a vehicle for neighbors to share experiences and insights in order to facilitate their participation in the process but all interested stakeholders are welcome to participate. At the roundtable, we will break into groups and go through a two part agenda: what is the problem and what are some solutions. Alders and committee members from Plan, Landmarks, Urban Design and Zoning Board of Appeals have been invited to help facilitate discussions at breakout tables. If your neighborhood association submitted comments to EDC, send a copy and we will make copies available at the meeting. The information we gather can be used throughout the process to insure a truly robust and inclusive discussion.

Setting in OpenOffice.org messed up? Scared you're going to mess up your partitions?Heard you could get a free operating system, but not sure where to start? You've come to the right place! Ubuntu Hours are a time when new users can come and ask questions without being afraid they will be made to feel stupid by experienced users. It's also a time when you won't feel crowded out by other discussions. It may not always be 1-on-1 support, but it will be close and might even be a better ratio! As for Ubuntu Hour instructors, in the words of Ubuntu Loco leader Anthony Hook: 'It’s a pretty laid-back event with little expectations. If nobody asks one week, maybe you’ll talk to 4 people the next week. It’s a good time to get some coffee, catch up on some work, or just browse the Internet. I’ll probably even take pictures of where I am each week. Please, don’t forget to document, tell us what you’ve been up to, when and where you are, etc.' Please let us know if you'd like to help out! It's only a one-hour commitment and it's only once a month max and we've got plenty of people helping!
